In order to search for goods held fraudulently within the customs radius, as well as for goods subject to the provisions of article 291 of the law, customs officers may carry out home visits, accompanied either by a local municipal officer, a judicial police officer, or a representative of the regional or local authority.
Under no circumstances may these visits be made during the night.
However, customs officers may intervene, even at night, without the assistance of a local municipal officer, a judicial police officer or a representative of the regional or local authority, to search for goods which, pursued at sight without interruption under the conditions set out in article 306 of the law, are brought into a house or other building, even one outside the radius.
If the doors refuse to open, customs officers may have them opened in the presence of a local municipal officer, a criminal investigation officer or a representative of the regional or local authority under the conditions set out in the law.
